Jia Tolentino is a contributing writer at the New Yorker's website, formerly the deputy editor at Jezebel and a contributing editor at the Hairpin. She grew up in Texas, went to University of Virginia, and received her MFA in fiction from the University of Michigan. She's represented by Amy Williams. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, the Times Magazine, TIME, Grantland, Slate, Pitchfork, Bon Appetit, SPIN, and Fader. She lives in Brooklyn with her enormous dog.
